Cora Riale, formerly of West Grove
Cora (Johnson) Riale, 83, entered into rest on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at the Pocopson Home in West Chester. Born in Rosedale, she was a daughter of the late, S. Frank and Mabel (McMillan) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Riale, who died in 1998. Cora was an active member of the New London Baptist Church and Gideons International. She also enjoyed working for Johnson’s Market, her family’s business in Kennett Square. Cora graduated as a registered nurse from Wilmington Hospital’s School of Nursing. She was also a cafeteria worker for the Kennett Consolidated School District. She was especially fond of her dog, Reagan. Cora is survived by her brothers, David Johnson, companion of Donna McCummings of West Grove; William, husband of Linda Johnson of West Grove; Jack, husband of Mickey Johnson of Kennett Square; and Bernard Johnson of West Chester. She will also be missed by her caregivers, Linda Hamby and Donna Crossan. Funeral Services will take place at at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, at New London Baptist Church, 226 Pennocks Bridge Rd, West Grove, with Pastor Mark Sawyer officiating. There will be a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Longwood Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
